Dr. Proud’s journey into chiropractic care began early in his life. As a dedicated Tae Kwon Do black belt competitor, he experienced severe rib pain that was misdiagnosed as a “bruised rib” by a conventional doctor. Despite a course of muscle relaxers and painkillers, his condition worsened until he was referred to Dr. Cliff Lara, a remarkable chiropractor who quickly identified and corrected a subluxated rib with a single, precise adjustment. This transformative experience ignited Dr. Proud’s passion for holistic healing.

Inspired by his own recovery, Dr. Proud embarked on a career in holistic health, first as a Sports Massage Therapist and Reiki Practitioner. He earned his Holistic Healthcare Provider (HHP) certification in 1999, building a successful practice with over 7,000 clinical sessions in addition to earning his Doctorate in Chiropractic.
